Apparatus

On October 20, 2006 Leroy Fire accepted delivery of a 3,000 gallon pumper/tanker. Made possible by a grant from the Department of Homeland Security, the purchase adds the 2006 HME Ahrens Fox to the existing apparatus of the department. Pictures and details will be posted soon.

Our Vehicles:

Engine 2413 is a 2002 Toyne with a 1,000 gallon tank and a 1,500 gallon/minute pump.


Medic 2412 is a 2004 McCoy Miller Ambulance and serves as our primary response unit for EMS calls.

Medic 2422 is a 1996 KJT/Sentinel ALS Ambulance. This is our secondary response unit for all EMS, MVA, and rope rescue calls. This medium duty rescue is built on an International 4900 chasis. 2472 carries a Lifepak 12 Cardiac Monitor, a full compliment of on-board and portable ALS equipment, and most of the deaprtment's rope rescue equipment.



DE-2443 is a 1991 FMC Rescue Engine. This unit is on the first due assignment for all motor vehicle accidents, vehicle fires, and special rescues, and second due to structure fires. 2443 also is our primary drafting engine as needed.

2418 is a 1985 Towers pumper tanker. It has a 1,500 gallon tank and 1,000 gallon/minute pump.



Car-2400 is a 1998 Ford Explorer 4x4. This vehicle serves as the Fire Chief's Command Unit, carrying various Pre-Plan and Map books, as well as First-Responder EMS equipment.

2467 is a refurbished Jeep CJ7 4x4. This unit was rebuilt to handle to the rough terrain in our Township. 2467 is a dual-purpose vehicle, serving as a Grass Fire Unit with an 80 gallon water tank, Honda pump and small diameter attack lines. It also serves as an off-road rescue unit for Rope Rescue incidents, equipped to carry out patients immobilized in Stokes Rescue Baskets.



2407 is a 1995 Ford F-250 Turbo Diesel Utility Truck. This 4x4 unit is used to transport equipment and personnel for a multitude of responses. It also carries rope rescue equipment , and is set up as an ALS First Responder unit with a Marquette Cardiac Monitor and trauma equipment. 2407 is also used for day to day business, fire prevention, response to FIU callouts, and transport to county meetings.
